| Project Details
|
The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Design & Construction (D&C) group intends to contract with one (1) architectural firm specializing in historic restoration/rehabilitation projects. Project buildings range from the New York State Capitol, the Empire State Plaza, offices buildings, armories to various state-owned institutional facilities-many of which are National Historic Landmarks, listed or eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Qualified firms will possess strong design skills, extensive knowledge of architectural history, a keen understanding of historic building construction and fluency in building conservation and restoration principles. The firm must have experience with public sector restoration projects, experience with the New York State Historic Preservation Act Section 14.09 consultation process and possess excellent research and writing skills. The firm must have resources to provide field investigations, testing, code analysis, and subsequent document preparation as needed. Work orders will be assigned on an individual basis.
